Looking Through the bin #3

Been a while since I've done one of these posts. No books this go round, just touching on a unique character. I think I'll do more like this.

Guido Carosella aka Strong guy from X-Factor. He’s one the many mutants from the 90’s who has since faded into the white noise of the Marvel Universe (don’t know if they killed him off or what). His power was always one of my favorites. He could absorb kinetic energy (collisions, explosions etc.) and turn it into raw physical power.


Despite allowing him to compete with powerhouses like The Hulk and The Thing, Strong Guy's mutant ability was very much a double edged sword in that it warped his physique to where his upper body was disproportionately enlarged. This condition placed a constant agonizing stress on his body, to the point where he suffered a heart attack or two.
