INKTOBER WEEK 4

IT IS OFFICIALLY OVER ! (OK it was over 2 days ago) Because I don't have wifi at home and the day job doesn't afford me any decent time or a conducive environment for creating, I had to wait for my next day off in order to bring my last batch of inktober pieces. I've been participating in Inktober for about for years now, this marks my first complete set. 31 drawings, one for each day of the month. It wasn't even about the art, not completely. I just needed to know that I could do it, commit to it.

This has also been my most experimental, changing up my subject matter from the usual superheroe fair experimenting with backgrounds and foreground and really just anything that suited my fancy. November will be no less busy as I'm preparing to dive into National Novel Writing Month, promoting my products and designs on Teepublic and Redbubble (Coming soon!) as well as my Webcomic Fight Life, exclusively on Patreon. Thank everyone who's been checking out this blog lately (All two of you!) I'll try and keep it interesting!

Because I had some troubles once with a customer, I want you to pay the totallity of the commissions BEFORE I start drawing.

When I recieve the payement, it takes me some days to do the sketch (researches, different tries), then I send it to you. This is the ONLY moment when you can ask for retakes. Don't forget that if you want a commission from me, it is for my own style, not another drawing style...

If you're disappointed with the final drawing, it's not my fault : YOU have to give me as many references of your characters as you have.

The lastest page of my webcomic. Lately feels like I turned a corner with this work. Still learning, but this the process so far...

1. Begin with Line Art

2. Add a gray backdrop along with a few flats to determine lighting.

3. Throw on a much darker grey overlay.

4. Bring back the line art

5. Add the talk balloons

OLD SCHOOL NOVEMBER

I wasn’t exactly ready to say “finished” with inktober so decided to challenge myself by putting together an “Old School” set. Basically the same rules, it’s just stuff from the 80s and 90s. Couldn’t commit the way I wanted to due a number of other obligations (like keep my lights on and the roof over my head), but this turned out to be a damn good first effort.
